Minnie L. Hermon age 90 of rural Deshler died Friday May 20, 2011 at her residence. She was born April 28, 1921 in Pleasant Township, Hancock County to Roy B and Marcie (Bergman) Beck. On July 23, 1942 she married Francis Hermon and he died May 22, 1993. Surviving are 2 grand daughters; Jennifer Smith of Deshler, and Mrs. Rebecca (Bon) Carter of Belmont, NC; 4 great grandchildren Reagan, Ryan, Ty, and Evan Carter. Also surviving is a sister Joann Fell of Fostoria. Mrs. Hermon was preceded in death by 2 daughters; Ruth K. Smith , and Nancy Hermon, and an infant sister Ruth Anna.

Mrs. Hermon was a homemaker. She was a 1939 graduate of McComb High School. Mrs. Hermon was a member of the Oakdale United Methodist Church, and the Oakdale United Methodist Women. She enjoyed helping on her family farm, gardening, sewing, baking, and helping neighbors.

Visitation will be on Tuesday May 24, 2011 3-5 and 6-8 at the HARTLEY FUNERAL HOME in McComb. The funeral service will be on Wednesday May 25, 2011 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Revs. Dave Yinger and Meg Knape officiating. Burial will be in McComb Union Cemetery.
