Allie Fay McAnally, age 85, of Mabank, passed away Oct. 13, 2011, in Athens.
Fay was born Dec. 29, 1925, in Quinlan, to Thomas Luther and Annie Belle (Horton) Adams.
She married Edward Lewis McAnally on July 28, 1951, in Pleasant Grove.
She is survived by her daughters, Jessie Wallace of Sulphur Springs, Sue Ashlock and son-in-law, Jerald Ashlock of Millerton, Okla., LaVerne Nicholson and son-in-law, Kenneth Nicholson of Payne Springs, Edwina Hackett and son-in-law David of Trinidad, and Sherry Hoagland and son-in-law, Cliff of Chewelah, Wash.; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Billy Adams and sister-in-law, Joann of Gun Barrel City, and Don Adams and sister-in-law, Mary of Phoenix, Ariz.; sister, Marcella Hillhouse and brother-in-law, Roy of Athens; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Lewis McAnally, mother, Annie Belle Horton Adams, father, Thomas Luther Adams, and brothers, Russell Adams, Herbert Adams and Thomas Ray Adams.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, with Bro. Dewain Mixon officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen.
