William Dailey married Lucy Neal the daughter of Richard and Viney Neal on December 25th. 1825 in Franklin County, Georgia. The Daileys had ten children, five sons and five daughters. Four of those sons died in the Civil War. The fifth son returned from the war with life-long injuries. William Dailey died September 22, 1876 and he along with other family members are buried in the Dailey Family Cemetery. The cemetery (here) is probably near the site of the Dailey home-place. William and Lucy Neal Dailey had 22 grandchildren. Five of the ten Dailey children had no offspring and one of the remaining five had only one child. My Father, Chester Carson; my Aunt, Ora Carson and Roy Coker's Mother, "Louvie" Coker were among those 22 grandchildren of William and Lucy Neal Dailey. I owe my being to this pioneer Franklin County, Georgia family.
