Helen P. Anderson, 84, of East Main St., Mt. Sterling, died 12:30 p.m. Thursday, April 15, 1993, at her residence following an extended illness. She was born May 14, 1908, in Higby, Ohio, to Charles and Harriet Landrum Allen. On Oct. 15, 1936, she married Floyd N. Anderson who died Aug. 13, 1965. Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, Lowell G. and Glenda Anderson, Mt. Sterling; daughter and son-in-law, " Harriet and Franklin Blagg, Orient; grandchildren, Scott, Sarah and Laura Anderson, Randy Blagg and Kendall Shonkwiler and her husband, Ed; great-grandson, Justin Shonkwiler; four step-grandchildren; stepdaughter-in-law, Rowena Anderson, Waverly; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Mabel Beaver, Mt. Sterling. She was predeceased by an infant daughter, Janet Anderson; a stepson, Howard Anderson; sisters, Anna Swaney, Louise Brust, and Mildred Ralston; and brothers, Marshall and Howard Allen. Mrs. Anderson was a member of Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 74 of Mt. Sterling, and the Pythian Sisters of Mt. Sterling. Funeral services are to be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the Ware Funeral Home with Rev. Harry Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Caldwell Cemetery. Friends may call at Ware's 5-9 p.m. Sunday.
