The son of Ernest and Alice Cravener Ramer, he was born Jan. 13, 1908, in Armstrong Township.
He was a retired blacksmith and had more than 20 years of service at National Roll and Foundry Co, G.S.I., Avonmore.
Surviving are his wife, (living relatives removed for privacy).
He was preceded in death by two sons, Robert H. in 1948; James D. in 1956; five brothers: Roe, Murray, Leason, Reynold, Ralph; three sisters: Ethel Altman, Cleo Miller, Margaret Watterson.
Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. today, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., the time of service, Saturday in the Daniel J. Yokey Funeral Home, 512 Indiana Ave., Avonmore. The Rev. E.H. Moore will officiate and interment will follow in Elderton Cemetery, Elderton.
