ROCKVILLE — Marjorie Frances Jackman, 89, of Rockville, passed away Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 5, 2011, at Union Hospital in Clinton. Born March 6, 1922, in Catlin, she was the daughter of Alvin E. Morlan and Elis Morlan. Her husband, John C. Jackman, whom she married Sept. 17, 1948, preceded her in death Dec. 30, 1987. She graduated from Mecca High School in 1940, retired from Indiana Bell Telephone Company in 1982, and was a member of Order of Eastern Star 177. She also was a member of Rockville Christian Church, active in the Ladies Auxiliaries of American Legion 48, Veterans of Foreign Wars 1752, and AMVETS 61 posts. Her memberships were Telephone Pioneers Club, Community Women's Club, Pythian Sisters Organization, and Rockville Women's Bowling League. She is survived by her companion, Harold Stanbaugh of Rockville; two brothers, Alvin Morlan Jr. and wife Lucille and Bennie L. Morlan and wife Lorraine, all of Rockville; and three nieces, Sandy Street, Donna Shaw and Jeana Dickinson. She also was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011, at Butler Funeral Home, 218 N. College St., in Rockville. Funeral services are 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011, in the funeral home. Burial will be in Memory Garden Cemetery in Rockville.
