He was retired Manager of Aero Space Mechanics at Johnson Space Center in Clear Lake City, TX. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War 66-68. He was a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 467.
He is survived by his companion Barbara King and his family Troy Bellmyer, Velinda Shirley, Whitlie Bellmyer, Wesley Bellmyer, Taylor Shirley and James Shirley.
