Jessie Claude Bellmyer passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 in Dewey, Ok. He was born on February 2, 1933 in Copan, Ok to parents, Arlie and Evelyn Bellmyer. At the very young age of fifteen years old, he volunteered for the U. S. Army. He was a proud veteran serving in the US Army- Reserve and National Guard T/SGT from 1948-1956. With tours of duty in Germany, he worked as a mechanic on large tanks and trucks. He was awarded several commendations including the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and the Army Occupation Medal.

After his honorable discharge from the military, Claude also, known as J.C., worked in a variety of fields including several auto body shops in Oklahoma and Kansas, Continental Can Company in Coffeyville, Ks, and in more recent years he owned his own business, J.C. Tank Truck Cleaning.

Claude was married to the late Mary Bellmyer and he is survived by two daughters, Vickie Bellmyer, Albuquerque, N. M., Dixie Bellmyer, Bartlesville, Ok. and one grandson, Chad Upton, two brothers, Elmer Bellmyer, California and Freddie Bellmyer, Copan, Ok. and three sisters; Louise Brown, Copan, Ok., Maxine Medearis, Weatherford, Tx, and Harriett Thomas, Copan, Ok.

Claude was preceded in death by his parents, Arlie and Evelyn Bellmyer and six brothers, Eugene Bellmyer, Gerald Bellmyer, Bob Bellmyer, Russell Bellmyer, A.J. Bellmyer, and Larry Bellmyer.

A memorial service to honor his life will be held on Saturday, April 4 at 2 pm in the Copan Methodist Church.
