Dr. Anthony was the son of Christopher & Louisa Sparling Anthony.

He married Adola Belle Millholland in 1888 and they became parents to Ruby Fern (Tilley), Emma Montee (Stiteler), and
William Christopher. Addie died in 1901.

Allie Marie Miller, his brother Frank's sister-in-law, became his second wife on 2 Jan 1905. Together, they had 9 children-Thelma Louise (Massey-Hough), Leo Wayne, Jessie Faye (Savage), Arthur Jr., Clark Miller, Bertha Lenore (Long), Marcus Cicero, Marlin Dale, and Calvin.
