Ethel Bethel
A graveside service will be held at 2p.m. Thursday at Floral Memorial Park,
Selma,for Ethel Bethel of Selma, a charter member of the Selma Church of the
Nazarene. The Rev. Richard Bethel of Bakersfield will officate.
Mrs. Bethel died Sunday, Dec.16, at CareWest-Kingsburg Nursing Center at the age of 94.
She was born in Eufaula,Okla., and had lived in Selma for 54 years. She was a
homemaker and had worked 10 years at the Libby,McNeill,Libby cannery.
She is survived by seven sons, Henry of Fresno,Bennie of Menlo Park and
James, Robert, Floyd, Fred and Leo Bethel, all of Selma; a daughter, Martha
McAnulty of Clovis; two sisters, Olie of Louisiana and Oneta Cleveland of Texas; 28 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; and 26 great-great-grandchildren.
