James T. "Buddy" McLaughlin, 84, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2011.
He was born to Morgan and Elsie McLaughlin in Santa Fe, Oklahoma on November 20, 1926.
Funeral Services are set for 1 PM on Tuesday, October 18, 2011, in the chapel at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home with Dr. Isaac Butterworth officiating. Graveside Services will follow at Crestview Memorial Park.
The family will have a visitation from 6 PM to 8 PM on Monday, October 17, 2011 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.
James was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Avo Abilia, Brother Dan McLaughlin, two sons, Rocky and Mike McLaughlin, and one daughter, Susan Kuhlman.
Survivors include: wife of 63 years, Madeline, son Dana W. McLaughlin and wife, Debbie, daughter, Linda Frost and husband, Greg Frost, all of Wichita Falls; two brothers, Jack and Don McLaughlin of Wichita Falls, and a sister, Cleo Trautman of Soap Lake , Washington. James was also survived by 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
He worked for Carnation Milk Company for 30 years and later retired after working at CertainTeed for 13 years. James also served as a Radio Operator in the Navy during World War 2.
James most enjoyed being with his family and friends, whether it was at the lake or just playing a game of cards or dominoes. James never met a stranger, talking to them as if he had known them for years. He will be dearly missed, but he will always be in our hearts.
