Emmet D Tucker's parents were Raphael Tucker 1827 – 1908 and Sarah Candace Brewer 1829. His known siblings were: Louvina Tucker 1852 – 1880; Garge R Tucker 1854: EMMA TUCKER 1856; ELLEN CANDACE TUCKER 1862 – 1863, and ALBERT TUCKER 1864.

In the 1860 census, Emmett was 5 years old. His father Raphael, was a farmer in the Bois Baule Township. He had real estate valued at $1,500.00 and personal property valued at $2,000.00.

In 1880, Emmett was living with Eugene and Elizabeth Vallroy in Saline, Perry, Missouri, working as a laborer.

On Oct. 19, 1884, Emmett married Elvina Michaels. From this union was born Joseph Tucker 1885 – 1885, Alice Marie Tucker 1889 – 1969, and Mary Ernestine Tucker 1891 – 1980.

From the Missouri State Birth and Death Records Database, revealed that Emmet D Tucker's Occupation was a Farmer he died February 20, 1885 at 8pm at his father's residence in Central Township. The cause of death was Pneumonia/Acute Labor (15 days) and Typhoid (7 days). His age was 30 years 4 months and 24 days. The attending Physician was Robert C Waters, MD, Perryville, MO., and he was buried on February 27, 1887 in St Marys Seminary cemetery. ( These dates conflict with the dates in the family bible and the birthdates of his children. The bible has his birth date at Sept 24, 1854 and his death date as Feb 20 1895.)

Alice was 6 years old and Mary was 4 years old when their father died. They remember going to St. Mary's Seminary to his funeral Mass, and going to the cemetery when he was buried.
