The cause of death was Pneumonia/Acute Labor (15 days) and Typhoid (7 days). His age was 30 years 4 months and 24 days. The attending Physician was Robert C Waters, MD, Perryville, MO., and he was buried on February 27, 1887 in St Marys Seminary cemetery. ( These dates conflict with the dates in the family bible and the birthdates of his children. The bible has his birth date at Sept 24, 1854 and his death date as Feb 20 1895.)
Alice was 6 years old and Mary was 4 years old when their father died. They remember going to St. Mary's Seminary to his funeral Mass, and going to the cemetery when he was buried.
