It also records her death a 16 JANUARY 1877 (not June) and her age at death, 77, 11 mos. 11 days. She is buried in her grandchildren's plot, Franklin and Martha (Dupee) Kumrine. Mary's surname is not Kumrine.

In November 1854 Mary Chadeayne signed her mark (an X) to receive widow's household goods from her husband Jonathan Chadeayne's estate after his death in September that year (on FamilySearch digital film). Their son Hiram was the executor.
In March 1866 Mary Chadeayne recorded affidavits for a Mother's Pension (on Fold3) after her son George died while in service to the Union army and had been her main financial support. Two of her granddaughters (Marietta Dupee Pugh and Martha Dupee Kumrine) also made affidavits in this package, attesting that "Shadding" was a misspelling of "Chadeayne". Mary Chadeayne stated she was then age 68, since she had just had a birthday in February.
The published book "Sons of Dupee" (1978) by Aileen Dupee Lackey also records some Chadeayne family history and notes Mary Tucker Chadeayne's birthdate as 5 Feb 1799.
