SERVICES TUESDAY FOR HENRY ROSS, 79
Dies Following Stroke Suffered Thursday
Henry Ross, 79 of 349 1/2 East Market street, died at 12:30 pm Saturday May 21, 1949 in Mercy Hospital. He had been seriously ill since Thursday morning when he suffered a stroke.
Mr. Ross was born in Pleasant township, November 17, 1869 to William and Elizabeth (Parker) Ross. He was formerly a barber at Old Fort before retiring 14 years ago.
Mr. Ross was married in 1890 to Alice Sweet and her death occurred in 1895. He was married again, November 4, 1902 to Mary Elizabeth Bowman, who survives. He leaves also a daughter of his first marriage, Mrs. Charles Littler, Toledo; the following children of his second marriage; Charles Ross, Mrs. Florence Biller and Elmer Ross all of Clyde; Mrs. Lewis Rober, Mrs. Norman (Hulda) Abbott both of Tiffin, Lawrence Ross of Norwalk; Ernest Ross, Sandusky and 20 grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was the last surviving of 13 brothers and sisters. Mr. Ross was a member of the Church of the Brethren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday in the Adams Turner funeral home and will be conducted by the Rev. S. U. Snavely. Burial will be made in Pleasant Union cemetery, at Old Fort.
