Argyle - Walter Bain, a well-known resident of this town, who for some years had conducted a boarding house at Summit lake, was stricken with apoplexy while driving his car last Thursday evening and died almost instantly. His wife who was with him succeeded in stopping the car without accident, when he fell unconscious over the steering wheel. His sudden death was a shock to a great many friends. He had apparently been in good health and made no complaint of illness up to the moment of his seizure.
Mr. Bain was a life-long resident of this town and was highly respected. He was forty-three years of age. Besides his wife, he is survived by an aged father, Abram Bain, two sisters, Mrs. Percy Morse of Cambrdge [sic] and Mrs. Alice Lant, and one brother, Elmer Bain of Argyle.
Funeral services were held from his late home Sunday afternoon. Rev. F. W. Crosbie, pastor of the South Argyle United Presbyterian church officiated. Interment was in the South church cemetery.
