Twyla Katherine Lee, 84, of Manvel passed away on October 13, 2011 in Pearland. Twyla was born on September 4, 1927 in Wadestown, Virgina to parents, Oscar and Catherine (Heitor) Hartley. She has lived in the area for over thirty years, having moved here from Bay City. One of her proudest achievements in life was obtaining her Cosmetology License and working as a wig stylist. She also had a love of spending time with her friends and listening to music. She knew that she was loved and beautiful to them. Twyla was preceded in death by her husband, Billy C. Lee; daughter Yulanda Cole; and her great-grandson Logan.
She is survived by her son, Loren K. Cole, and wife Lona of Pearland; brother, George Hartley of Macon, Georgia; grandchildren: Eric Manning and Stormy Slater; great-grandchildren: Derek, Courtney, Ashley, Dylan and Morgan; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 17, 2011 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Froberg Chapel.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Froberg Chapel with Rev. Robert Magee officiating. Interment will follow at Confederate Cemetery.
