It is believed that Halsey is buried in the same cemetery as his parents and his grandparents, namely New Mount Zion Cemetery, Tuscumbia where the family lived. His cause of death was due to an infection of the umbilical cord. He lived only two days.

Halsey Franklin Wyrick was the son of Clarence Wyrick (1886-1965)and Flora Viola Burks (1899-1953). The family lived in Tuscumbia, Miller County, Missouri. They had one other known child: Galla M Wyrick born in 1929.
