Freda M. Sanders Wheeler, 85, of Hot Springs died Saturday, August 31, 2003, in a local hospital.
Born August 30, 1918, to Nathan and Junia Hobgood Sanders, she was retired from East Side Elementary cafeteria, and attended First Church of the Nazarene.
She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Wheeler; two brothers, Vernon Sanders and Elster Sanders; and one sister, Ve ra Sanders.
Survivors include one brother and sister-in-law, Clinton and Agga Mae Sanders of Arkadelphia; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Velma Adcock and Lois Sanders, both of Hot Springs and Oleta and the Rev. D.L. Moore of Bethany, Okla.; nieces; and nephews.
The service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Gross Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Ken Carney and Ray Marriage officiating.
Pallbearers will be Chuck Leppert, Anthony Seales, Don Sanders, Calvin Sanders, Bobby Anderson and Denver Prince. Honorary pallbearers are the Friendship Sunday School class, David Sanders, Bill Fuller and Roberta Butler.
Burial will be in Beaton Cemetery near Bismarck.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at Gross Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association or Kidney Foundation.
