Marjorie Reese Ogden
"TOGETHER FOREVER"

ROY – Marjorie Reese Ogden departed from us on October 8, 2011, to, as she put it, "To start my next adventure." She left due to complications from Pneumonia.

Marjorie was born June 29, 1921 in Salt Lake City, Utah. The daughter of John M. Reese and LaVee Bennett Reese.

She celebrated 70 years of marriage to the love of her life and best friend, Ray Ogden.

She is survived by two sons, Ron (Marilyn) Ogden; and Jeff R. (Christine) Ogden; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and many dear friends. She is also survived by two brothers, Dr. William Reese and Jack Reese.

She enjoyed many years of volunteering at hospitals, teaching yoga and practicing tai chi. She and her husband, Ray, enjoyed a lifetime of camping, fishing, boating, and snowmobiling. Her favorite retreat was Wendover. Marjorie was a very spiritual and philosophical person. She believed life and death are one, just as the river and sea are one.

At her request, in lieu of flowers, that anyone wanting to contribute, please make a donation in her name to any homeless shelter. She considered herself a non-denominational Christian. Her final words were "Don't mourn my death, but celebrate my life."

At her request there will be no viewing, funeral or gathering afterwards.

There will be a brief graveside service on Friday, October 14, 2011 at 1 p.m. at the Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd., Ogden, Utah.

Arrangements and cremation under the direction of Myers Roy Mortuary.
