Born in Newberry, a daughter of the late James H. and Lola Bedenbaugh Hendrix, Mrs. Burdette was retired from Belk Department Store in Easley and was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church, where she belonged to the Lillie Johnson Sunday School Class.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Cecil C. Burdette Jr. and Shirley C., of Easley; a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy B. Eades and J. Robert, of Liberty; four sisters, Reva H. Coker of Greenville, Helen Hale and her husband, William, of Athens, Ga., Nony Penland of Pasadena, Texas, and Judy Huff and her husband Joe, of Greenville; four grandchildren, J. Robert Eades Jr. of Easley, Nancy M. Eades of Greenville, Curtiss Burdette III of Easley and Danny Burdette of Liberty; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Burdette was predeceased by two brothers, James L. and Richard C. Hendrix; a sister, Annie H. Oliver; and her stepmother, Willie F. Hendrix.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road with the Rev. Jack Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
The Lillie Johnson Sunday School Class of Liberty United Methodist Church will serve as honorary escort.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Liberty United Methodist Church, 310 Mae St., Liberty, SC 29657.
The family is at the home of Nancy and Robert Eades, 804 Black Bottom Road, Liberty.
