Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, August 8, for August C. Fischer, 48, Suring, who died on august 5 at Oconto Falls. He had been in failing health for the past three years. Services were conducted at Mount Olive Lutheran Church with the Rev. F. C. Benecke officiating. Interment was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in the Town of Howe. The Soulek Funeral Home was in charge.
Mr. Fischer was born September 14, 1913, in the Town of Underhill, Oconto County. He farmed in Bonduel before moving to Suring fifteen years ago. He married the former Emily Liesner November 19, 1938, at Bonduel. He was a member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, are four daughters, Joyce, Mrs. Eugene School, Sr., Shirley, Mary Jane and Sharon, all of Suring. He also leaves three grandchildren and three brothers, William and Paul, of Cecil and Edward, of Gillett.
