Marvin Martin Beitzel, 71, of Grantsville, MD, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Jamuary 31, 2007, at the elect Specialty Hospital, Johnstown, PA.

Born on October 8, 1935, in Accident, MD, he was the sn of the late Edwin and Arminta (Maust) Beitzel. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary; a son, Stanley; a brother, Vernon Ray and a sister, Verna Mae.

Surviving are a son, Roger and a daughter, Diane, both of Grantsville; a brother, Elvin, Salisbury and a sister, Bertha, Grantsville, MD.

He was a membe of the Cherry Glade Mennonite Church. He had worked as a farm hand and also with the Garrett County Roads Department. He enjoyd gardening, working in the lawn and woodworking.

Friends wil be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, MD on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Services will be conducted in Cherry Glade Mennonite Church on Saturday, February 3, 2007 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Barry Maust, Pastor Danny Tice, and Pastor Titus Beitzel officiating. Interment will be in Cherry Glade Cemetery. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services.

The family would like to express thanks for all the love and care shown to them over Marvin's hospital stay and at this time of loss.
