FRANK FARVOUR, WELL KNOWN AS BUILDER, CALLED
Prominent Ripon Contractor Had Lived Here for Half Century
Frank P Farvour, well known contractor and bullder, and a resident or Ripon for the past 50
years, died at the Ripon Municipal hospital Sunday. He had been ill for several months. and on Friday
It was thought advisable to remove him from the home or his son, Louis to the hospital tor further
treatment.
The late Mr. Farvour was born at Sheboygan Falls, Wis., the son of Reuben and Elizabeth Farvour.
At the age of 11 he moved with the family to Wautoma, where later in life he was united In
marriage to Miss Frances Janes, who preceded him In death In January, 1919.
Came Here in 1891
In 1891 the Farvours came to Ripon where they established their home. Mr. Farvour engaging
in the general building and contracting business. Many prominent local buJldlngs, including the
Ripon Municipal hospital In which he died, were supervised by him. He was a member of Ripon Camp
of the Modern Woodmen.
Surviving are a son, Louis B Farvour of Ripon; two brothers.
William of Waupaca and Edgar at Kohler and a grandson, Franklin Farvour, senior at Ripon college.
Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Tuesday from the Butzin chapel In Ripon, the Rev. Glenn A. Rowles
of the First Congregational church at Ripon officiating. Burial was In the Seventh Day Adventists' cemetery
in the Town of Berlin. Assisting as bearers were Messrs. Fred T. Chittenden, Allred Zick, Otto Luck, Bert
Lynch, Fred Werdin and Dr. L. W. Cleveland.

Ripon, Oct. 8. -Funeral services for Frank P. Farvour, 76, Ripon
contractor and builder who died at the Ripon Municipal hospital Sunday,
were held from the Butzin chapel at 2 p. m. today.
The Rev. Glenn A; Rowles, pastor of the Congregational church,
officiated. Burial was in the Seven Day Adventist cemetery in the
Town of Berlin. Bearers were Fred T. Chittenden, Dr. L. W. Cleveland,
Afred Zick, Otto Lueck, Bert Lynch and Fred Werdin.
