Gladys Alice Hennings was born Gladys Alice Coffee(y) on July 6, 1923. She was third daughter of four born to Josephine Beatrice Merrell and Rueben Francis Coffee(y). Her oldest sister was Evelyn Viola Berry then Helen Wall and her youngest sister was Maudie. All but Evelyn were born in Amarillo, Texas. Gladys and her sister Helen Wall were WACS during WWII proudly serving their country. to be continued
