Parents were Jessie Garvin Shaw and Bessie Mae Martin. He was married several times, but data only found on the last wife. Married Apr. 3, 1973 in San Patricio County, Texas, to Edna F. Applegate. They had no children. He had been a resident of Corpus Christi for three years. He was a retired engineer for the state of New Jersey. He was a veteran of WWII and was assistant scoutmaster of Tuloso-Midway Boy Scout Troop No 18. He was a member of the Tuloso-Midway Baptist Church. He was buried Aug. 8, 1973.
