Isabelle Marie Genter was born to Walter and Bessie (Horacek) on the family farm near Wiley (Riverton Township) She married Clarence Wheaton on April 21st 1926. They lived first together in Sherman township followed by Custer then Muskegon before finally settling in Hamlin township on Lincoln road where they lived for about 50 years.
Together they had 7 children- 5 boys, 2 girls. Isabelle continued to live in their home after losing her husband in 1991 as she was surrounded by family a neighbors. One day, at the age of 93, she went out to check her mail and fell on the ice. She ended up breaking her hip and the stress of the break lead her to her death a short time later. She was a very sweet woman. Quiet and meek!
