Kenneth Charles Wheaton is the son of Clarence and Isabelle (Genter) Wheaton. He was born November 21st 1933 at home in Sherman Township, Fountain Michigan. He was married to Shirley Wiley in December 1956 in Ludington Michigan shortly after returning from the Korean War.

Together they had 5 children, 4 daughters and a son. They moved around a bit but stayed most of their married lives together in Mason County.

Ken spent most of his adulthood working in construction. He was an avid photographer. He loved taking videos and pictures of nature, the Ludington Badger and his family. He loved getting his photo taken in return. He was always laughing and smiling in his later years. He will be most fondly remembered sitting at Stearns park waiting to see the Badger.
