Louis F. Lietz, 58, of Springfield, formerly of Tuscola, died Saturday, Feb. 15, 2003, at his residence. He was born Jan. 24, 1945, in Champaign, the son of Albert H. and Thelma M. Doehring Lietz. Mr. Lietz, a U.S. Air Force veteran, graduated from Tuscola High School in 1963 and St. John's School of Respiratory Therapy.
Survivors: a son, Ehren Lietz of Iceland; a daughter, Jennifer Allen of LaGrange Park; father, Albert H. Lietz of Tuscola; a brother, David L. Lietz of Tuscola; and a sister, Carolyn M. Hilligoss of Decatur. Private services: Hillgoss Shrader Funeral Home, Tuscola, the Rev. Michael Ruhling officiating. Burial: Tuscola Cemetery.
