BEAVER: Erma Violet Willden, 78, passed away February 9, 2002 after struggling several years with diabetes and declining health.

Erma was born July 8, 1923 in Moore, Idaho to James Alvin and Edna Perrenoud Wheeler. She married James Evan Willden Dec. 27, 1937 in Salt Lake City and their marriage was later solemnize in the LDS Salt Lake Temple. She was a member of the LDS Church.

She was a master at crocheting, having won several county blue ribbons for her work and her doilies adorn numerous homes throughout Utah.

She is survived by her daughter Shirley and Ken Olsen of Beaver; daughter-in-law, Elaine Willden of Salt Lake City; two brothers, Neal Wheeler of Lakeside; and Clifford and Thelma Wheeler of Grand Junction, Colorado; two sisters, Peggy and Dan Hendon of Hoingston, Kansas; and Ione Houge of Riverside, California.

She was preceded in death by sons Larry Ruben and James Cleon Willden; a great-granddaughter McKensie Olsen and a great-grandson Kenneth Charles Olsen. She has five grandchildren 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 15, 2002 at 1 p.m. Friends may call at the Olpin Mortuary on Thursday evening from 6-7 p.m. and on Friday at the Church from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery in Beaver under the direction of Olpin Mortuary.
