OBITUARY: The News-Star, Monroe LA, 17 Sep 1941
Headline: Mrs. Luther E. Hatten
Mrs. Luther E. Hatten, 44, died at her residence, Smith Street, West Monroe, Tuesday afternoon. Services were held at the Hickory Spring Methodist Church in Jackson Parish, at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday with Rev. C. Karlos Smith officiating. Interment followed in the Hickory Spring cemetery under the direction of the Dixie Funeral home.
Mrs. Hatten is survived by her husband and two daughters, Mrs. H. C. Beavers and Mrs. T. R. Gewin, both of West Monroe; four brothers, Eli, Bill, and Burkett May, all of West Monroe; Judge May of Cotton Valley, and a sister, Katie Algy of Caldwell parish.
