David Joseph Frei, a 48 year resident of Yuma Arizona, died Sunday, July 3, 2011 at the age of 75 after a period of declining health. He was born on June 15, 1936 in Sacramento, California.
He joined the United States Marine Corp after High School, and was honorably discharged after a successful 10 year career where he rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant.
After his military career, he went on to work for Mercury Refueling at YRMC for over 30 years and retired as Vice President in charge of contract negotiations.
He is survived by his children, Elizabeth Downey, Debra Martinez, Catherine Finney, David D Frei, Cindy Steinbart; his sister Linda Gravert and nine grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life was held on Friday, July 8, 2011 at Hearthstone Health Center, located at 401 Oakwood Boulevard, Round Rock, Texas 78681.
A wake will be held at Johnson Mortuary Chapel on Friday, July 15, 2011 from 6 - 8 pm. Funeral mass will take place at Immaculate Conception Catholic in Yuma, Arizona on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 12 noon. Interment will follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park in the Honor Mausoleum in Yuma, Arizona.
