It appears from the Rolls on file in this Office that Dallas B. Mull was enrolled on the 19th day of April, 1864, at Nashville in Co. "L", 4th Regiment of Tenn, Cav, Volunteers, to serve 3 years or during the war, and mustered into service as a Private on the 21st day of April, 1864.
On the Muster Rolls of Co."L", of that Regiment, from enrollment to Oct., 31, 1864, he is reported Present; Nov. & Dec. 1864 in Convalescent Camp, Nashville, Tenn, sick; Jan & Feb 1865, sick in Hospital, Vicksburg, Miss. Died Mar 23, 1865.Inventory of Effects reports him as having died in McPherson General Hospital, Vicksburg, Miss. March 23, 1865 of "Continued Fever" I am, sir, very respectfully, Your obedient servant,Signed: C.W. Benjamin, Assistant Adjutant General
