THE CHAMPION
20 MARCH 1929
James A. Mull was born in Fannin county, Georgia, December 26, 1850. He moved from Georgia in 1883 to Alabama and from there to Texas in 1894.
He joined the Baptist church 62 years ago and was a Baptist minister for 38 years.
He contracted the flu which developed into pneumonia and all that his children and friends could do he departed from this world March 11, 1929 at 7:40 p.m. and went to meet our dear mother who passed away November 12, 1925.
He leaves one brother, Mason Mull, who lives in Georgia; four sons, Ollie Mull of Neuville, Frank Mull of Choice and Clarence Mull of San Augustine, Homer Mull of Beaumont; three daughters, Mrs. Nellie Taylor of Haslam, Mrs. Allie Bridges of Grigsby and Tennie Bounds of Center.
He enjoyed taking of the Lord and His good works. Now we know that he can not come back to us but by living a christian life we can see him and our mother some day, and may God's blessing be with our dear friends who assisted us in his sickness and burial.
