Mrs. Laura Heyl, 82, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clarence Reed, Oil City RD 1, at 12:45 am today, following an illness of 7 months. She was born July 25, 1865, in Jefferson County.
In 1882 she married Cyrus Beightol, who died in 1889. In 1893 she married Fred Heyl, who died Sept. 10, 1921.
She was a member of the Dempseytown Evangelical United Brethren Church, and was a good worker in the community. She was a member of the Daughters of Union Veterans.
Surviving are children, Mrs. Gertrude Chelton, Oil City, Mrs. Venita Ackerman, Conneaut Lake, Mrs. Louise Reed, Oil City RD 1, Vern Beightol, Erie, Reed Beightol, Oil City, and Fred Heyl, Conneautville, PA; four sisters, Mrs. Della Seyler, Miss Kate Reed, Dempseytown, Mrs. Rose Tracy, Franklin, and Mrs. Mae Hall, Mayport; 25 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be at 2 pm Sunday at he daughter's home with Rev. P. L. Griffiths, her pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the Dempsey Cemetery.
