She was born March 27, 1911, to Frederick and Marie Sprenger in Lincoln Valley. Her mother died when Bertha was 11 years old and she was then raised by her father and stepmother, Helen. She married Phillip Christman May 13, 1933, in Manning.
Survivors: daughters, Kathryn Cline, Wilton, Leona Petersen, Rice Lake, Elaine Boozenny, Butte; son, Delmer of Spencer, Iowa; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; brother, Albert, Roseglen; sister, Marie Opp, Minot.
Funeral: Tuesday, 2 p.m., St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Butte.
Private burial: Butte Community Cemetery, Butte.
