Mrs. Mattie L. Abell Dohrmann, 80, of 5217 Spalding Ave., died Sunday at Doctor's Hospital in Corpus Christie, Tex. Born in Blythewood, she was a daughter of the late John Thomas and Sallie Level Ballentine. Mrs. Dorhmann was a member of Earlewood Baptist Church and was retired from Stone Manufacturing Co. She was married twice, first to the late Owen A. Abell, who died in 1941 , and to the late George Dewey Dohrmann, who died last year. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Randolph (Emma) Smith of Corpus Christie; three sons, T. M. Abell of Morehead City, N.C. and A. V. Abell of Denver; two sisters, Mrs. Verona Lever and Mrs. Carrie Sue Timer of Blythewood; a brother, Herbert J. Ballentine of Blythewood; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Earlewood Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. C. Wilson Poston and the Rev. J. W. Beis. Burial will be in the Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery.
