She married Rev. Alfred Cyrus Healer on November 14, 1920.
She was a good mother to

Mrs. Mattie Mae (Pat) Healer, 76, of 707 Pease, died at 3:45 a.m. Tuesday at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at McCoy Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with the Rev. James Kinsey and the Rev. Orvel Brantley, pastor of Lamar Street Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Sweetwater Cemetery.
Born May 18, 1904 in Hornhill, she married Rev. Alfred Cyrus Healer on Nov. 14, 1920 in Roby. They moved to Sweetwater in 1927.
Mrs. Healer was a clerk at Mott's for 11 years. She was a member of Lamar Street Baptist Church since 1927. She was a member of The Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary.
Her husband and one brother (Francis Lafayette (Tick) Elam) preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Laura Naomi Healer Koch of Bloomfield Hills, Mich.; LaJuana Jean Henthorne of Austin; two sons, Rev. F.E. Healer of Sweetwater, and Thurston Healer of Danville, Calif.; two brothers, Homer Elam of Roby and Bill Elam of Dallas; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
