HENRY WESLEY GOIN
Henry Wesley Goin, 88, died at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 13, 1953 at Manteo State Hospital. He was brought to the Lamb Funeral Home in Gibson City, where services were held at 3 p. m. Wednesday; the Rev. Edward Hagen of Morris officiated. Burial was in Gibson City Cemetery. Mr. Goin was born May 6, 1865 at McLeansboro, IL a son of Elijah (1839-1910) and (Mary) Jane Cross Goin (1843-1913). He married (Nancy) Annie (Anna) Kelley (1866-1951) in August 1896 at McLeansboro.

Survivors include four sons: E. V. (Elijah Voltaire 1886-1958) Goin of Waynesville; J. W. (James Wesley Goin 1892-1975) Goin of Akron, Ohio; Ray (Allen Ray Goin 1896-1953) Goin of East St. Louis and Harry (George Harry Goin 1900-1963) Goin of Gibson City; two daughters, Mrs. S. N. (Francis Merritt) Allen (Flora Elizabeth Goin) of Saybrook, IL and Mrs. Rosenkranz (Mary Hanna Goin 1900-1983) of East St. Louis; a brother Lee (Leroy Burrows Goin 1879-1957)Goin of McLeansboro; 2 sisters, Mrs. Mrya (Sarah Elmyra Goin 1881-1974) Gunter and Mrs. Elle (Mary Luella Goin 1875-1954)Adamson, both of McLeansboro.

He was preceded in death by 4 brothers (Louis Richard Goin 1860-1930, Elbert Willis Goin 1867-1940, Charles Issac Goin 1869-1930 and James Harvey Goin 1877-1941) a daughter (Lucy Ethel Goin 1888-1921) and a sister (Elisha Volteer Goin 1862-1864).

The family has requested flowers be omitted and memorials be sent to Gibson City Community Hospital. Pallbearers were: Robert Goin (Grandson), Charles Goin (Grandson), Kenneth Jacob Allen (Grandson), Gary Allen, Elwood Dean Allen (Grandson) and ____Allen.
