FARSON, WY - Funeral services for Farson resident Aaron Boyd Huffstetler, 63, will be conducted at 10 a.m. today, Oct. 20, in Farson-Eden High School by the Rev. Daniel Gilbert. He died Oct. 15, 2004.

Graveside services will begin shortly after noon Thursday, Oct. 21, in Yampa, Colo., Cemetery, with the Rev. Ron Krey officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon in Yampa Congregational Church.

Born May 31, 1941, in Steamboat Springs, Colo., he was the son of Bufford and Doris (Norman) Huffstetler; was raised on a ranch near Yampa; and graduated from high school there in 1959.

He studied agriculture at Colorado State University in Fort Collins in 1960 and 1961, then left school to pursue a career in showing livestock at the national level, traveling throughout the United States. After returning home to work on the ranch, he married and had three children.

In June 1977, the family moved to Farson, where he began his career as a salesman in the oil and gas industry. He established Aaron's Water Service Inc. in 1997.

His interests included elk-hunting, fly-fishing, gardening, and history. He had a lifetime commitment to 4-H, from member to leader; and was a generous and influential member of the Farson community. He loved life and continually looked forward to the next adventure.

Survivors include two brothers, Bruce Huffstetler and his wife of Riverton and Dwight Huffstetler of Yampa; son, Mark Huffstetler of Farson; daughter, Susan Orozco, and her husband of Farson; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, John; and grandparents.
