Mrs. Hazel Darst
Mrs. Hazel B. Darst, 69, of Riverview, Route 5, was found dead at her home by neighbors at 1 p.m. Sunday (May 25), sheriff's deputies reported. Dr. S.S. Daw, Muskingum County coroner, ruled the death was due to natural causes.
Mrs. Darst was born in Nelsonville, Feb. 18, 1900, a daughter of O.L. and Sarah White Essex. She was employed for a number of years by the David Davies Meat Packing Company.
Surviving are two brothers, Weaver Essex of Carbon Hill, Ohio and Calvin Essex of North Carolina; and a sister, Mrs. Frances Mase of Orlando, Fla.
The body was taken to DeLong and Baker Funeral Home.
