LAFE ESSEX

Services for Lafe Essex, 67, retired Adamsville miner, will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Shirer & Sons Funeral Home in Adamsville. Rev. Calvin Gilmore will officiate. Burial will be in Beatty Cemetery near Gilbert.

Mr. Essex died Monday afternoon in the Linscott Rest Home where he had been a patient since Aug. 27. He had been ill for six months.

He was born Feb. 19, 1888, near Logan, the son of Lafayette and Sarah White Essex.

Surviving are his widow, the former Bessie Milstead whom he married April 27, 1944; two brothers, Calvin of near Gaysport and Weaver; two sisters, Mrs. J.C. Mace of Orla Vista, Fla., and Mrs. Hazel Darst of Route 5.

The body will remain at the funeral home.
