Services were held at 2 pm, Aug. 5, 2001, at Pickle Funeral Home with the Rev. Pat Ludlam officiating. Burial was in the Masonic Cemetery.
Survivors include three daughters, Brenda Joyce Hamilton of Austell, GA., Carolyn Rose Shook and her husband, Pete, of Amory and Marilyn Suzette Morand of Chapel Hill, NC.; a former son-in-law, James Milton of Hamilton; a sister, Linda Kaye Sparks Chism of Shreveport, La.; seven
grandchildren, Brenda Carol Tillman, Michael Kevin Hamilton, Lori Ann Countryman, William Patrick Shook, Katherine Patricia Cumberland, Anthony Maurice Morand and Heather Michelle Morand; 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Eloyce Jenkins; her parents; three brothers, Hershen J. Peek, Oliver S. Peek Jr. and Harold Peek; a son-in-law, J. G. Morand.
Pallbearers were Larry Goudelock, Kieht Cumberland, Patrick Shook, Pat Paterson, Rick Countryman and Wesley Robinson.
Honorary pallbearers were former and present emploees of the Monroe County Electric Power Association.
