Parents: Joel Jefferson Bradshaw II and Mary Catherine McBride.

Joel Jefferson Bradshaw II was b. 8 Dec. 1792, South Carolina; d. 14 Sept. 1862, Fairfield, Jefferson Co., Iowa. He and other members of his family are buried in the Bradshaw Cem., Jefferson Co., Iowa (a small family cem).

Apparently Charles and Anna were divorced as she did not pass away until 1893 and the 1880 census shows Charles married to another woman.

Note: Daughter Mary Elizabeth m. John Stine ca 1856. He was a school teacher and worked farms in season. In 1857, he bought 100 acres in La Harpe Township, Hancock Co., Ill. which he managed for 5 years before selling the property in order to purchase 80 acres in Raritan Township, Henderson Co., Ill. In 1866, he bought a farm in Terre Haute Township upon which he lived the remainder of his life. Upon his death he owned 880 acres in one body and cultivated and and 490 acres in different parts of Henderson Co. He d. April 5, 1905 and Elizabeth d. May 10, 1907. They had 6 children. They are buried in the Terre Haute Cemetery, Terre Haute, Henderson Co., Ill.
