In 1866, he bought a farm in Terre Haute Township upon which he lived the remainder of his life. Upon his death he owned 880 acres in one body and cultivated and and 490 acres in different parts of Henderson Co. He d. April 5, 1905 and Elizabeth d. May 10, 1907. They had 6 children. They are buried in the Terre Haute Cemetery, Terre Haute, Henderson Co., Ill.
