Edna L. Punches, age 72, of Mount Vernon, died Monday December 2, 2002 at her residence. Edna was born January 10, 1930 at Centerburg to John and Hazel (Dustin) Barber and had spent her lifetime in Knox County. Edna was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary, AMVETS Auxiliary and the R&K Social Club all in Mount Vernon.

Surviving are four daughters Connie Hess, Bonnie (David) Sebach, Penny (Steve) Tindall and Annett (Dariel) Boyd all of Mount Vernon; two sons James (Mildred) Punches and Edward Punches Jr. both of Mount Vernon; 16 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and her sister Frances Dial of Mount Vernon. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Edward Punches Sr., 2 daughters Anna Loraine Punches and Nancy Sponseller, a grandson Steven Tindall, a brother Estel Barber and a sister Peggy Norris.

Friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon where funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
