Note: the death date of 11 August on the grave marker is incorrect. The vital record of Medway says he died October 1836, and his death notice in the Columbian Centinel gives the date as 11 October.

Asa was the son of Amos Fuller and Esther Kingsbury of Needham, Mass. He was married in Franklin, Mass. on 1 June 1780 to Meletiah METCALF, the daughter of Jonathan Metcalf Jr. and Bathsheba Pond. According to an SAR application, Asa marched at the Lexington Alarm of 19 Apr 1775 as a private in the West Medway Company under Lt Moses Adams, Major Fuller, and in Col. John Smith's regiment. He also marched from Medway to Warwick, RI on 8 Dec 1776 under Josiah Fuller, Col Wheelock's regiment. He is found in the DAR Patriot Index.

Asa appears with family in Medway in the 1790 census, and then only with wife in 1800 and 1830 in Medway. He may be the Asa Fuller living only with wife (both aged 45+) in Walpole, Mass. in 1810, but is not found in 1820. A death announcement for Asa appeared in the Columbian Centinel of 15 Oct 1836, calling him a rev. soldier, and dying in Medway on 11 October, aged 84. Asa and Meletiah had six known children:

*Asa, b. Bellingham, MA 26 Dec 1781, m. Franklin, MA 4 Apr 1811 Hepzibah BLAKE.

*Abner, b. Medway 30 Aug 1784, married Lydia ROGERS.

*Sylvia, b. 9 Oct 1791, m. Otis FAIRBANKS.
