SHARP, Alvena Alice "Pat" Brown, age 78, of Bethany, OK, peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior on Dec. 23, 2001. Alvena was a charter member of Tulakes Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed music, especially playing gospel music on her mandolin, autoharp and organ, and she shared that love with her children and grandchildren as she encouraged them to play musical instruments. She also enjoyed reading, sewing and cooking. Alvena was born June 1, 1923 in McLoud, OK, to William and Ethel Haley Brown. Alvena was preceded in death by her parents, 5 sisters & 4 brothers. Survivors include; husband, John Sharp; son John Sharp, Jr. & wife Jean and their daughter Jessica Bell; son Jerry Sharp & Fiance' Paula Creach and his children Toby & Alice Sharp; daughter Susie Eccles & husband Roger and their children Erin & Ryan Eccles. She is also survived by a sister Verna Lou Greenlee & husband Roy; brothers, Clinton Brown & wife Betty and Neal Brown & wife Dorothy, and a host of loved ones and friends. The family wishes to express sincere gratitude to their very special friend Sharon Patton, of Yukon and La Shaunda Stewart and Jennifer Keller of Frontier Hospice of Bethany for their loving care and support. Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, Dec 27, at Mayfair Baptist Church with interment in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Mayfair Baptist Church Music Ministry or Frontier Hospice of Bethany, OK. Mercer-Adams.
