Services for John David Heaton Jr., of Turlock are scheduled for 9 a.m. Monday, May 12, at Allen Mortuary. Burial will be held at 1:15 p.m. at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella. Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Allen Mortuary. Jack was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He died Wednesday at home.
He settled in Turlock in 1969. He served in the United States Navy from 1951-1955. He was a member of Veteren of Foreign Wars and American Legion Post No. 74. He owned and operated Heaton Pest Control for twenty-four years. He served in the Korean War. He also belonged to the Elks Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Loretta Heaton of Turlock; five children, Dean Heaton of Modesto, John Heaton III and Jackie Anderson, both of Turlock, and Carrie Heaton of Anchorage, Alaska, and Leslie Heaton of Hilmar; one brother, George Heaton of Bakersfield; and four grandchildren.

John David Heaton Jr., 67, of Turlock died Wednesday at his home. Jack was a native of Colorado Springs, Colorado. He lived in Turlock twenty-eight years and previously lived in Modesto twenty-one years.
He owned and operated Heaton Pest Control for twenty-four years. He was a member of the Elks Lodge. He served in the Navy from 1951-1955 during the Korean War; he belonged to the American Legion Post 74 and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta Heaton of Turlock; children, Dean Heaton of Modesto, John Heaton III and Jackie Anderson, both of Turlock, Carrie Heaton of Anchorage, Alaska, and Leslie Heaton of Hilmar; a brother, George Heaton of Bakersfield; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary.
A funeral will be conducted at 9 a.m. Monday at Allen Mortuary. Burial will be at 1:15 p.m. Monday at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, Santa Nella.
