Mrs. Grace Cooper Fitzgerald, 63, widow of Irving Fitzgerald, died Monday morning, May 3, 1965 at her home on the McDonald Hill road in the Town of Ellisburg. She had been ill six months.
Mrs. Fitzgerald was born in the town of Ellisburg, Dec. 11, 1901, a daughter of Orson and Mabel Washburn Cooper. She attended Belleville academy and Sandy Creek teachers training school. She taught in the Ellisburg rural district. On Dec. 1, 1923, she was married to Irving Fitzgerald in the Episcopal rectory at Pierrepont Manor. The couple operated a farm in Ellisburg. Mr. Fitzgerald died Jan. 2, 1954.
Mrs. Fitzgerald was a member of Zion Episcopal Church Women and the grange. She is survived by a son, Paul C. Fitzgerald of Ellisburg and three grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 1:30 p. m. in Zion Episcopal church, Pierrepont Manor. Burial will be in Ellisburg cemetery.
