He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Loretta Dugan; and a son, William Gelchion. His wife, Mrs. Mary A. Gelchion (nee Maloney); a daughter, Mrs. Frances Murphy, and a son, Joseph Gelchion, predeceased him."
Burial:
He was buried in Holy Name Cemetery in Jersey City.
