Grace was born March 16, 1922 in Milliken, Colorado the daughter of Andrew and Ruth (Morris) Malik.
She was raised and educated in Milliken, graduating from Milliken High School in 1940. She married Ray Lockman (who she had met on a blind date arranged by the next door neighbor) on September 15, 1940. They made a home in Wheatland farming the Ward Goodrich place for 21 years then worked for True Ranches for 23 years. They retired and moved to town in 1985 and in July 1999 Grace moved to Platte Manor. She loved to cook, garden, sew, all kinds of crafts and flower arranging. She probably arranged flowers for half of Wheatland. She did flowers arrangements every month for the church from 1992 – 2001. Grace was a member of the United Church of Christ, Orcas Society, Wheatland Country Women's Club, Marathon Card Party, and was on the Board of Directors of Platte Manor.
She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Stugart of Fort Collins, Colorado, and Linda (Dennis) Doney of Belton, Texas; sons, James (Sandra) Lockman, Terry (Debbie) Lockman, Bob (Joyce) Lockman all of Wheatland, Larry (Bobbie) Lockman of Spokane Valley, Washington, and Jack Lockman of Lochbuie, Colorado; brother, Ivan Malik of Loveland, Colorado; sisters, Opal Wetzbarger of Clifton, Colorado, and Lois Vohs of Eaton, Colorado; and numerous grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ray Lockman on May 4, 1992; daughters, Dianna Jewell and Nancy Tulk; brothers, Leo Malik and Delbert Malik; and sister, Norma Strauk.
